This class provides the technical and process information needed to manage, monitor and troubleshoot SANs utilizing the Brocade DCFM management tool. Lectures introduce the main concepts with a minimum of theory and a maximum of practical applications. Hands-on lab exercises apply the processes defined in lecture. DCFM 200 is based on DCFM v10.0.

Knowledge Prerequisites
Familiarity with the basic concepts and operation of Brocade M-Series and B-Series switches:
• Concepts: Fabric, ISLs, zoning, FC routing, M-EOS & FOS
• Operation: Familiarity with command-line and GUI interfaces
Course Objective
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
• Describe the DCFM family of products.
• Describe and implement a DCFM environment.
• Describe the B-Series and M-Series Element Manager.
• Describe and demonstrate zoning using DCFM.
• Describe and demonstrate Fibre Channel routing using DCFM.
• Demonstrate device and switch performance.
• Describe common DCFM management features such as firmware management, fabric management, event management and non-DCFM product integration into DCFM.
• Describe additional DCFM features such as Call Home, proxy server support and DCFM server backup and restore.
• Describe the processes used to gather support information and review DCFM troubleshooting features.
