This is an advanced course on Brocade Fibre Channel products (switches, directors and HBAs). It provides hands-on experience and discussion to help students become proficient with the advanced features in Fabric OS v6.3. Content includes Fibre Channel Routing (FCR), Fibre Channel over Internet Protocol (FCIP), Adaptive Networking, Access Gateway, fabric security policies and Brocade management tools. Students perform switch management using Telnet, Brocade Web Tools and Data Center Fabric Manager (DCFM).
Target Group
This course is designed for storage administrators, SAN administrators, system administrators, SAN architects, systems engineers, and SAN operators that are involved with configuration, change management, maintenance, monitoring, configuration, tuning and optimization, and SAN troubleshooting.
Knowledge Prerequisites
• Six months experience with storage and storage area networks
• Knowledge of Fibre Channel fundamentals
• Brocade Introduction to Administration and Theory or equivalent knowledge
